Supporting the Band
Financial Support
The Kishwaukee Concert Band musicians and staff receive no financial compensation for their efforts in support of the band. But funding is needed for expenses such as the purchase of music, the rental of the concert hall, and the purchase of insurance. Therefore, sponsorship and contributions from a variety of individuals, businesses, and organizations are necessary and very much appreciated.
The Kishwaukee Concert Band is a tax-exempt charitable organization under IRS section 501(c)(3), and contributions to the band are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Checks made out to the Kishwaukee Concert Band may be sent to P.O. Box 395, DeKalb IL 60115. The Kishwaukee Concert Band has partnered with the PayPal Giving Fund to make it quick and easy donate to the band on-line. All concerts are held in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall in the Music Building on the campus of Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois. There is no charge for admission, and the concert hall is handicapped accessible.
